All those GM candidates turning them down was a lot more exciting then Chavez. Heck the Korean submarine pitcher turning them down to stay in Korea was more exciting then Chavez.

His empty .275 average at $1.5 million would have been perfect for the Dodgers. They could move Kemp to his natural RF, Ethier to LF and Chavez in CF. Instead that well known “genius,” Ned Colletti will have a $4.5 million statue in LF, Juan Rivera. Rivera will also not even hit an empty .275. I guess there is also Tony Gwynn, Jr. who has almost the same skills as Chavez, but is on a new two year deal.

Those Giants made a great move when they let Colletti interview with the Los Angeles McCourts.
