He killed the Rangers in the 2010 World Series. And I think he did pretty well against them in 2011 interleague play, too. So, there’s that.

This doesn’t make sense for either party. Oakland is certainly not going to contend this year, and would be better served saving the funds for either the draft or the international signing period. And unless Ross does get multiple years from Oakland, taking a short term deal to play in that stadium would destroy his value moving forward.
