So, the Feesh could be playing a little Texas Hold ‘Em with Morrison, eh? Any chance you could get them to play “Wack-A-Mole” instead? I find the idea of Morrison being clobbered by a hammer really appealing.

If the rumors are true about Zambrano to Miami, then throw him in too. Although what Marlins pitching prospects would appease Theo?

They want some variation on the staff, different “looks.” Buehrle is a control pitcher, as is, basically, Anibal Sanchez. They have hard throwers in Johnson and Nolasco, but they may have ideas about trading Nolasco so they want another pitcher who can bring it. The problem with Garza is the asking price; I would give Tweeter up in a heartbeat for a pitcher like Garza but the Feesh don’t seem to want to do that – and oddly, they do seem to be willing to give up Gaby Sanchez, who I think is a much better ballplayer than Tweeter and a local favorite to boot. But who knows? All of this could be a lot of ducking and dodging – make it look like they “know something” about Tweeter’s upside so that interested teams will pull harder at him and when they do give him up, it’ll smell like someone else’s coup.

One can hope….

Weird that they wouldn’t want Jackson. He’s a pretty perfect fit for them, and wouldn’t cost them prospects in an already depleted system.
