		<description><![CDATA[2011 major league fastball velocity averaged 91.6 (Pitch F/X) or 91.7 (BIS).  That&#039;s a bit different from saying it topped out in the 90-91 range.  It&#039;s about 1 mph faster than Rick Porcello although obviously much slower than Verlander throws.

Minor league K/BB and K/IP ratios look promising to me.  I&#039;m obviously not a scout but keep in mind that the guy turned 20 last May, so one ought to project some further development on average.]]></description>
