He’d be a great addition to their bullpen and alleviate some of hurt from losing CJ (and yes, losing him is a huge loss to the Rangers…). Extending the bullpen talent means the starters can go only 5 or 6 innings and then its Madsen, Orando, Nathan an whoever else they throw out there. If nothing else, Madsen is a huge step up from Oliver.

I hope he gets picked up somewhere but somehow I don’t see it being a contender. Wouldn’t mind the phils taking a one year deal on him to setup Pap though.

It’d be a blow to go back to set up for a team, but it may be his best option on a one year deal, then hit free agency next year and become closer? My personal preference would be to sign with the Mets, as Frank Francisco is TERRIBLE and will not be closing come May.
