Baseball will continue to lose out to football as America's sport until this old, greedy a-hole retires. The central problem with baseball is that the same teams routinely make it to the playoffs, because the same teams have all the money. Baseball should be run the same way as football - everyone puts in, and everyone gets the same amount back. Then it really could be anyone in the playoffs. But he stubbornly refuses to even consider alternatives.

Plus, I think he's a really scummy human being, apart from his acts as commissioner.

Just my opinion, but I think he's bad for the game.

I thought the extension before this one was suppose to be his last. It was going to get us through the labor talks and then bud was suppose to step down. I guess he had other things on his mind of how to save the game. You never know what crazy ideas he'll come up with. Maybe his next idea will be introducing shoulder pads to try and get ratings up and change the slogan to Slugfest.

OF COURSE! He's NOT PLAYING!! SILLY!!!!!!!

And he just put off ANY action regarding Pete Rose THAT much longer.

Unless Rose dies first.

And then again, death didn't help Shoeless Joe.

You know...there is a lot of opinion I also like from Costas as well...it just seems like any time I see him on TV lately he is being asked to moralize (whether it is about baseball or football), and he has no problem stepping up to the plate and moralizing like hell while largely ignoring context and fact. I suppose it isn't his fault that he is asked to opine on such issues so frequently, but he doesn't have to bust out the extension ladder to climb up on his high horse every time.

We were hoping this day would never come, but here it is.

That sour taste in your mouth could only mean that the ruthless, calculating, greedy used car salesman has broken his promise to retire after this season. Baseball fans have been sold yet another lemon by CEO SELIG!

CEO SELIG, possessing unprecedented power, has presided over an industry during an unprecedented rate of growth - growth that has largely been achieved through enormous amounts of public dollars in tax subsidies, infrastructure improvements, taxes, surcharges, and public financing of stadium construction, while astronomically hiking prices at the gates, concessions and merchandise.

Franchises worth less than $100mil just 25 years ago are now approach values of $1bil or more. These franchise values could not have been achieved without significant, if not excessive leveraging of public assets in the host communities.

There is far more to dislike about MLB during CEO SELIG's tenure as the so-called Commissioner of Baseball, far more than is necessary to go into at length at this juncture. Most of you know his various transgressions against the game.

Thus, I am extending this invitation to for any and all to join #OpEjectBud

And, if CEO Selig doesn't leave, we will launch #OccupyMLB until Ownership convenes an emergency executive session then naming and installing CEO SELIG's successor.

That successor MUST be neutral and cannot hold any executive title or responsibilities within MLB, Inc. or related companies. The successor MUST retain all of the powers that CEO Selig possessed (except, obviously, the part about simultaneously being CEO of MLB, Inc and Commissioner of the sport. No conflict of interests, right? Nahhhhh.) and pledge to do the following:

- FREE PETE ROSE
- End the integrity-averse policy of the ASG winner deciding Home Field Advantage for the Postseason.
- Pledge in writing and certified by the POTUS that the number of play-off teams can NEVER exceed 1/3 of the total # of teams in MLB.
- Make Umpiring Honorable again.
- As Alyssa Milano gracefully exits her 30's, we need a new superhot chronically single seductress to be the games #1 female fan. Find that girl. Use Alyssa as the barometer of perfection. She's timeless.
- Keep stadiums UNsafe. Some accidents are terrible tragedy and others are unintentional comedic genius.

We are AnonyFans. We are Baseball. We never forgive. We never forget. Expect us Always.

We were hoping this day would never come, but here it is.

That sour taste in your mouth could only mean that the ruthless, calculating, greedy used car salesman has broken his promise to retire after this season. Baseball fans have been sold yet another lemon by CEO SELIG!

CEO SELIG, possessing unprecedented power, has presided over an industry during an unprecedented rate of growth – growth that has largely been achieved through enormous amounts of public dollars in tax subsidies, infrastructure improvements, taxes, surcharges, and public financing of stadium construction, while astronomically hiking prices at the gates, concessions and merchandise.

Franchises worth less than $100mil just 25 years ago are now approach values of $1bil or more. These franchise values could not have been achieved without significant, if not excessive leveraging of public assets in the host communities.

There is far more to dislike about MLB during CEO SELIG’s tenure as the so-called Commissioner of Baseball, far more than is necessary to go into at length at this juncture. Most of you know his various transgressions against the game.

Thus, I am extending this invitation to for any and all to join #OpEjectBud

And, if CEO Selig doesn’t leave, we will launch #OccupyMLB until Ownership convenes an emergency executive session then naming and installing CEO SELIG’s successor.

- As Alyssa Milano gracefully exits her 30′s, we need a new superhot chronically single seductress to be the games #1 female fan. Find that girl. Use Alyssa as the barometer of perfection. She’s timeless.
- Keep stadiums UNsafe. Some accidents are terrible tragedy and others are unintentional comedic genius.

We are AnonyFans. We are Baseball. We never forgive. We never forget. Expect us Always.

#OpEjectBud

Is there an option for a third year, which vests automatically if World Series ratings are high enough?

I presume that the robot technology is from the Futurama universe, where ethanol powers the fuel cells. Every writer would be in favor of that.
