A new Reds starter could come from the minors, or a trade during the year. Still the guys they ave now are solid, not counting Arroyo. Cueto-Latos-Bailey-Leake-Chapman (possibly) and Bronson. They look solid to me. I would like to have one more although.

I’m not saying the Phillies didn’t overpay a bit for Papelbon, but I still think Madson comes out on the raw end of this all around.

This is a great deal for the Reds. They get a top closer for a low price, and all of the long term risk is borne by the player, not the team.
