God only knows what the Red Sox management team is thinking. They have signed or at the very least appear to be trying to sign a “boatload of refugees” from the hospital ward.

Believe me I get the whole low risk thing. But a guy like Colon after proving that he still could help a team should have been real high on the Red Sox list. Considerating the back end of “their” pitching situation no way they shouldn’t have signed he for that kind of money.

After Bartolo gets blown up on the road a few times, or wilts in the late summer sun, the stands will be completely empty for his starts, if he’s still healthy enough to waddle out to the mound by then. Hopefully by then the kids will be up from Sacramento to pitch a few times. The A’s will lose 95 games this year, and look bad doing it.
