I don’t think he meant that the 76ers aren’t irrelevant because their record is 10-4. He meant that they’re irrelevant because they’re from Feeliedelfia.

Yes, they are 10-4 like the Heat. But the teams don’t compare right now. Though they are 2 years away from serious contention or relevance. Indiana is one year away. How was that thought process?

Owner of the Heat is supposed to worth around 4.5 billion. Last I heard he was down around 450 mil: so factor the cost of reclaiming das boot from Davey Jone’s lunch box and settling the inevitable law suits I think he’ll still be in the black. Given how the Heat wound up on their sides in shallow water last season, something of a trend with this guy, eh?

Loria as the owner, though, would give him something else to soak the taxpayers for. I’m sure he’d find that very appealing. And, can you imagine the “dunk display” that would go off after every Heat score? Given how gaudy and campy the Feesh’s HR display is, I imagine the Heat’s would be no less a mockery of good taste. Since he seems to want to vex you a lot I think it’ll have meerkats in it. Possibly jumping rainbows and cavorting.

Ahh, the perils of privilege.

After that awful news about Gary Carter yesterday I really needed something to cheer me up. Thanks, LeBone. But with Scrooge McLoria’s orifice in Macondo Banana Massacre Field just down the street from the arena now, I’m sure there’ll be plenty of opportunities for one of the Heat commandos to bring more slapstick like that to town.
