My slow-pitch team could use a little more grittiness and scrap…any idea what kind of money he’s looking for to come back? I think if we all pitch in, we can probably guarantee him a case of PBR after every game?!

I know this isn’t how you meant it, but I’m sure Eck is already in the Hall. Anyone that has won a World Series MVP must have mention somewhere in the museum right? It’s more than obvious that he won’t have a bust, but I vote we start a “scrappy” wing for the Hall. One of these years we may even break the “scrappy” color barrier.

He’s waiting to hear from his friends in the BBWAA. If enough say they will give him a vote because they liked him he’ll go ahead and announce his retirement and hope those writers don’t talk among themselves.

Then in 5 years he’s making a speech at his induction to Cooperstown while Bagwell and Raines still have to buy a ticket.
