He’s versatile, if not particularly good, and has proven to Beane that he’s ok with being traded mid-season, and more importantly, has the worth still to attract a trade suitor. I’m not sure he’s a fit for the new-look A’s, unless he’s planning to wear a Bobby Kielty wig. Bruce Jenkins had a positively scathing comment about the whole A’s offseason in the Chron recently, also employing the Circus Big Top metaphor.
