Brandon Inge aside…I find it amusing that anyone connected to anything “NBC” would call anyone else (even Denny McClain) a scumbag! Look in the mirror NBC!

Why wouldn’t Inge simply relish the chance at remaining in the bigs given his paltry batting skills as a backup utility guy?

Until Cabrera breaks his fat ass trying to play 3rd. If I remember correctly his girth was the reason he was moved to 1B initially.

The Tiger’s could have the fattest corner infielders in the history of MLB. Sure, The Big Hurt, Greg Luzinski and Boog Powell were likely bigger but none of them had a counter part at 3B “listed” a t5 240 lbs.

It does sound dumb, but fortunately that’s not difficult to address. Remove the small plastic plate just below your scalp and directly between your antennae by pressing down at the narrow end and pushing backwards with your index finger until it unsnaps and springs upright (to facilitate this operation, you may lower both antennae to the horizontal position, but be sure to counter-telescope them a bit so they don’t hit your cleaning girl in the eye when she tries to get past you with her vacuum cleaner). Holding a cosmetic mirror just above your head so that you can read the settings next to the little knob in the well below the plate (with a little practice you will be able to read backwards with ease), turn the knob slightly to the left (which in the mirror will look like to the right) and reset it to “irony.” Then, press the covering plate back into position until you hear a ‘snap!’ Raise telescope your antennae for the best possible reception.

I made plenty of fun of Brandon Inge, how snarky of me. Enough already though, for me and everyone else, I’m declaring this party over. No one from the Tigers organization bothered to tell Inge he was being replaced, he found out on the internet. Jim Leyland says “he’s not a happy camper” in the context of explaining his managerial regret for not breaking the news to Inge himself. So we have a guy in Inge who didn’t complain in public, and a widely misinterpreted statement from a manager who was trying to express remorse.

Denny McClain is a perfect speaker for a Catholic university, by the way. Of course they paid him to speak. NAMBLA has to pay people to speak to their gatherings too.

No one has to applaud, but why tear the guy down? He is losing his job so why would he be happy about that? I’m just speculating here but I’m guessing he went into the off-season told it was his job to lose and given his recent struggles he was probably counting on a chance to redeem himself. Also it’s not like he has publically said anything negative about the Tigers, so why rip him?
