BJ Upton or Yoenis Cespedes? Same age. According to what I read earlier, 8 scouts want BJ, 5 scouts want Cespedes. Based on that, I think Upton is underrated.

Well you don’t plunk down 30-40M of ducats on a Cuban dude that probably can’t smack a breaking pitch. The pitching in Cuba is a mess with Aroldis being the last of good young turks and the gilded vets on their way to the glue factory. This guy has seen A to AA pitching at best on the island…the boy is gonna be roasted like that pig in his video if they throw him in the MLB pit. That’s big money to pay for a guy that needs finishing in the minors, let alone he might have to move off CF. Sabian like ‘em grey and feeble anyway…

Of course he will be overpaid in relation to the risk of him being a bust.

But the question Giants fans should be asking is why does ownership continue plead poverty when they have “territorial rights” to the Silicon Valley which is one of the wealthiest areas in the country and every seat in the park was sold last season?

Considering the likelihood Cespedes is accurately 29ish, Brian figures after the 5yr 55-60 mil deal with the Feesh runs it’s course He will be Aaron Rowand / Miggy Tejada, thus perfect for the team, AT THAT TIME.

Exactly. When Brian Sabean signs a guy for 30 million dollars, he expects him to be at least 35 years old. 26? Why, that's hardly any years at all! Cespedes is going to have to try harder than that if he wants to play for the Giants.

This from the man that gave Zito $126 mil, Rowand $60 mil, and Tejada $6 mil. The problem isn’t that his talent won’t match his pay. The problem is he’s too young for Sabes to sign.
