When Mark Prior and Kerry Wood were in their prime, I was a young-teenager and I could remember always imitating the two, though I was a bigger fan of Prior because of his USC background. The main issue with the sport of baseball is the non-stop grind they have to endure. And while some players manage to avoid any serious injury concerns, it’s those such as Prior, Wood, and others that really see their careers crumble. Needless to say, I’d love to see all athletes avoid serious injuries and be able to play to their capability from start to finish but that’s not how it goes.

I hope this guy leaves his body to science. With so many things going wrong all the time, it’d be a great opportunity for some medical school students to study the biological aspects of Murphy’s Law. The problem, of course, is that male cadavers aren’t much fun – no lithopedions.

Just can’t see wasting a minor league roster spot on Prior. It’s been 6 years since he was a MLB-caliber pitcher. Time to move on.

the reds are aleays looking for veteran help, he should sign with them. he would be reunited with Dusty and since it worked out so great with him the first time why not a second go round? oh wait…… nevermind. but he could be a big help to the young guys on the staff telling them what to expect when under go the surgery that they surely will under baker and how to handle the rehab when they do.
