where are the nats in this one? they seem to have shown they are ready to compete NOW and center field (where YC is projected to play) is the only glaring hole in the lineup. even if the power doesnt translate in american ball, the speed and defense will work anywhere

You're absolutely correct. All those right-wing exile sauropods will trundle out in force seeking to draft Cespedes to the "cause" - though if he flops in the show they'll back away from him in a huge hurry. You should be aware, though, that Obama took almost forty percent of the Cuban vote here in Macondo, which indicates how much of the first and second American-born generation of Cuban-Americans have shrugged off their forebears' affinity for failed policies and obsession with running foreign affairs by spite alone.

Don't waste his potential in Baltimore under the Angelos reign. Angelos needs to be forced out of ownershhip

The Marlins seem like the logical fit, but he might get caught up in all the political crap the Cubans have going on in South Florida, the kid just wants to play ball, not be tied into the USA vs Cuba.

A nice fit might be the Nationals, a team that is slowly building towards something that could be special in the nations capital with a huge hispanic population, and a good baseball manager in Davey Johnson. DC is still major market, that can draw fans who might just want to check him out from other cities. He can develop on a young team and not be expected to win right away.
