Getty Images Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch has a good story today about Adam Wainwright‘s health and his prospects upon return from Tommy John surgery. At the end of it, Wainwright utters a final assessment that, if there is any justice in the world, will become an official health status descriptor not unlike “day-to-day” or “questionable”:
“Cardinal fans should know that I’m feeling pretty danged good.”
He then said “shucks” and other things of that nature, I presume.
