I think Bud Selig secretly died in the early 70′s and Jozu Kabuto remade him into a Cyborg preserving what was left of his brain and making do with whatever technology he recovered from the underground Mycenaean empire. Needless to say it was a failure so Jozu revived his son instead to head the Fortress of Science. During the late 80′s Bud’s cyborg was found in Jozu’s underground lab one level below where his grandson found his super-robot. NPB was contacted immediately and later MLB posted a bid to bring back the Cyborg stateside to groom it to eventually be the Baseball Commissioner it needed (though not the one it deserves).
