Or the deal wouldn’t involve any MASN assets and a new owner would have to push for a move of the franchise to another city/area where he’d have a broadcasting network or could establish one.
Lowest attendance in franchise history. Fan base supposedly turning its back.
Anyone thought about that?!

Angelos is all three — trial lawyer, bad owner, and very rich guy. So that means he really will live forever?

In that case the prospective new Owner must come with a sword, Challenge Angelos, cut off his head and he will absorb his powers in the Quickening, including the team, MASN and the TV Rights.

The MASN network also carries all the Nationals games and Angelos makes a large percentage of those profits. It was part of the deal for Washington to get baseball, that both teams have the same network with Angelos the majority owner of it. I am willing to bet if he sells the Orioles he will also sell his share or MASN on the Orioles side only, and retain his vesting interest in the Nationals percentage. Kind of that last screw you to this city since he blames the Nationals coming to Washington for a ton of lost revenue which everyone knows is just not true. If he sells the team, it would be very hard to find a new owner worse than Peter Angelos.

The last video store in my area just closed about a month ago. It kinda made me sad because I rented X-box 360 games and movies there. I felt as if I just witnessed the end of an era.

Onto Vigo the Carpathian wanting to sell the Orioles. Will he take his river of pink slime that inhabits the sewers under Camden Yards with him when he leaves? This is quite important to the future of the team actually as it magnifies negative energies as shown in the documentary Ghostbusters 2.

I used to work in a video store, when I was a callow youth. I’m still callow, of course, but not particularly youthful anymore. Video stores have pretty much all gone now. Obliterated from the economic landscape by internet piracy and free porn on the internet, alas, alas…
Angelos won’t sell, IMO. He’ll just acquire another rich guy to share the blame for the O’s lack of success.

Much as I detest Angelos for trying to prevent us in the Washington area from getting a team, while demanding that we root for his crappy team, I really feel for Orioles’ fans. I’m old enough to remember when they were a model organization. A team to be respected not just for their success, but for how they played the game. What Angelos has done to the franchise is an ongoing disgrace. Hope a sale gets done sooner than later.
