Koji was actually better in Baltimore... with a much worse defense behind him, against much tougher division.

The expectations, or simply the quick and unexpected change of scenery probably got to him. As he really did play pretty horrible in his few chances with Texas.

With that said, Mike Gonzalez is HORRIBLE, and I can't believe the Rangers or any team would prefer him over Uehara.

It's rare you find a player who actually WANTS to play for the Orioles. Especially one who has already experienced how pathetic the ownership is. Baltimore should trade anything they can for a guy who actually wants to be there. But they're too busy signing sub-.280 guys to be their designated hitter.

More mid-season trade bait for the Great and Powerful Beane. It's a proven formula, scoop up a mid-game reliever, bring him to the Big Mausoleum and put better than average defense behind him. Watch ERA fall, trade reliever for whatever. The fans and the unions see a 2012 April 1 payroll that's in line with expectations, even though that payroll will be reduced by 20% come August. And Wolff/Fisher line up in the offseason for more revenue sharing, last year over $ 32M. We've been watching this for 6 years now.
