Not a good enough hitter to DH and 40 is very old for a Catcher, even though Tek stays in shape. I hope he retires and doesn’t embarrass himself; he’s had a really good career. We were lucky to have him.

No, it should have alot more to do with actions in the clubhouse and behind closed doors. And all signs point to a tremendous void in leadership on that team last year. He did not do his job, no-one on the 2011 Red Sox did their job (with the exception of Pap & Scutaro – & those guys are gone.)
I am a life-long Red Sox fan, and I intend to go to no games this year.
