The Indians should have signed Sizemore for the same reason Oakland signed Cespedes. There’s no other way for a team in that market size to get that kind of upside. Yeah, its a big risk, but there’s no way they can outbid the Yankees/Sox/etc for premium talent. The alternative to Sizemore isn’t something you would have wanted to see.

It’s going to boil down to health again for the Indians. If it’s only Sizemore and Hafner (and those two are certainly going to miss time) then they have a pretty good chance.

The Jon Garland pickup must have slipped in under your radar. Most people have him contending with Slowey for #5.

As a Tribe fan i am embarrassed and well have been fora few yrs now because of ownership/front office…Bringing back Sizemore was a mistake.Tribes Brass have been obsessed with this guy since day one for some reason.He was/is overrated. he is a 5 hole hitter with speed not leadoff.Brantley should be CF/leading off…i mean i can go on and on..unless everything turns out perfect we will finish in 3rd place…

Well call me nuts, but I would’ve also let Sizemore walk, moved Brantley to Center. Not re-upped Hannahan, started Chisenhall @ 3rd and gone with LaPorta or others in LF. Indians have too many punch & judy LH hitters.
