I just re-read that Francouer story. He claims that he wrote Samuels a check for $35,000, and Samuels gave him $35,000 in cash. Francouer then used the cast to buy a car for his parents. The rationale? His parents help him with his finances, and he didn’t want them to see how much he spent on the car.

The logic goes something like this:

1) Parents receive a new car.
2) Parents don’t see a check written to a car dealer, so they won’t know how much it cost.
2a) Parents incapable of using Internet or newspaper advertisements to determine rough value of car.
3) Parents do see check written to one “Charle Samuels” for $35,000
3a) Parents incapable of connecting dots

I completely missed this back in May (as did other commenters), but it sounds like Frenchie either thinks we are stupid, or his parents are. And if his parents are, why is he trusting them with his money?

Claiming it on taxes was just asking to get caught. As for the sentence, way to go judicial system. How do u get jail time? Shoot yourself in your leg.
