Jose Reyes isn’t the only Marlins star cutting off his hair for charity

Feb 22, 2012, 1:20 PM EDT

Jose Reyes cutting his hair and selling it for $10,200 in a charity auction was such a big deal (or there was such little in the way of real news) that MLB Network broadcast the clipping of his dreadlocks live in prime time.

Reyes’ new teammate, ace Josh Johnson, didn’t get quite the same attention for shaving his head in the name of charity today, but Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald has photographic proof that it happened nonetheless:

Johnson is donating the contents of that bucket to the “Locks for Love” charity that “provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under 21 suffering from long-term medical hair loss.”

Josh, forget about the shoulder problem. I think you have a tapeworm.

    Locks for love requirements

10 inches measured tip to tip is the minimum length needed for a hairpiece.

This article is a joke right?
