With the Lerners, there’s always a concern that they won’t pay for talent — despite the Werth deal and the big signing bonuses for draft picks. All of the reporting points to Zimmerman’s desire to stay. It’s Mike Rizzo’s job to make the Lerners understand that keeping Ryan is a good thing.
