If Niese happens to have a breakout season, imagine all of the players that will want to get nose jobs. I almost hope he does that, as I would find the coverage of that hilarious.

Nice job of Beltran following through. Hope it helps Niese. If Niese improves and lands a nice contract down the road, will he pay it forward and pay for someone else to have a nose job?

He’s gonna want your hair in return, Gleeman. Don’t take the dough. Besides, y’know what they say about guys with big noses, eh? Its free advertizing to women of shallow morals, a certain amount of turpitude, and an adventurous disposition.

As to Beltran & Niese: one of the complications from cleft palate can be poor breathing, especially nasally. If this does improve Niese’s respiratory status, I’m amazed it wasn’t suggested and carried out years ago. Nasal obstruction = sleep apnea for many people, which can’t be good for your pitching skillz. Good for Beltran for helping out a teammate.
