Hey friend.

The problem is that guys like Mike Moustakas, Eric Hosmer, etc. are all Boras clients. Gordon is a little bit different, because he was a high-profile pick that is just now coming around. But Scott Boras really makes things difficult by encouraging them to test their market value rather than ensuring a future with the Royals organization. He's got those poor kids so wrapped up, it's almost like brainwashing them. I'm not saying all these exciting young kids look at Kansas City as a good opportunity to win a championship, but I would like to see them give the organization considerable thought to staying. It's just difficult to do with that Boras bug in their ear.

I was going blog along a similar train of thought. Perez has all of 150 PA in the majors. If the front office is willing to lock him up, what's the hold up with the rest of the young guys?

Probably money. Perez deal is team freindly and if you listen to his comments it sounded like he wanted certainty more than money. Hosmer, Gordon, & Moustakas won't be giving the Royals that type of deal.
