Emilio Bonifacio has a new catchphrase and hand gesture for the Marlins: Lo Viste

Emilio Bonifacio

Beast mode? Antlers? A lot of teams develop little hand gesture things over the course of the season.  Emilio Bonifacio has one that seems to be catching on with the Marlins. Lo viste:

Lo Viste?  When Miami Marlins outfielder Emilio Bonifacio holds a sideways ‘V’ with his index and middle fingers to his eye he is asking that question. Lo viste? See that? Last season during his 26-game hitting streak, Bonifacio and teammate Omar Infante devised the Spanish catchphrase and hand gesture. The speedy Bonifacio began using it after a hit or a good play – and it took hold … This season, lo viste has caught on in a big way at Marlins spring training camp.

Below is a pic of Bonifacio doing that. And I don’t care what anyone says. Those new Marlins uniforms look pretty snazzy:

How the F did you come up with that pic? Genius.

I thought you were going to go with a photo of either John Travolta or Uma Thurman from Pulp Fiction.

    But this tops that exponentially.

The Lateenofeecation of the Feesh conteenues. ¡Arriba y adelante! I come home from three days up norte and lookee what’s gone down.

I’m good with it – though surely, I am in the minority of Macondo Anglos.

Good lord. Now im really rooting against them (aside from being a phillies fan). Im sorry. It justgets way too much when every little play has to be followed by a million hand gestures and arm waves. It just gets to be obnoxious after a while. Now everyone has to do it. Its as lame aswhen every guy in the world had toget the barbed wire tatoo on their arm.

That pic reveals that Bonifacio is definitely NOT in the BSOHL.

What the heck is Adrian Beltre doing in Miami’s camp? Did he manage to commandeer a uniform?

As a Marlins fan since the very beginning I almost wish they wouldn’t get so much publicity. The Marlins are going to have a good team but the pitching staff is a big question especially if Josh Johnson doesn’t stay healthy. Sanchez and Buehrle are very good but who knows if Zambrano will go crazy and try and kidnap someone when he walks a couple batters or if Nolasco gives up a ton of HRs. Could be a fantastic year or a decent one. It all depends on the rotation and general health of the team. Just my opinion though.
