No, TBI, JGM won’t lose. There are plenty of offenses where the union can’t stop teams from tearing up contracts. When Aaron Boone blew out his ACL playing basketball, that was in violation of the terms of his contract, and the Yankees voided it. Union didn’t say a peep. If they can’t stop a contract being voided for violation of a clause, do you really think they could stop one from being voided because the player lied about who he was and how old he was?

The Union has no say in the matter. the contract was signed by Fausto Carmona, who doesn’t exist. It’s an invalid contract. If the Indians wanted, they could let him go, and I don’t believe there’s anything that could be done

I’m a little confused. A guy lies about his identity, hurts noone, does damage to nothing, gets arrested for it ( as he should), charges are dropped but he has to have his contract restructured, why?

on the flip side another guy shoots a gun into the air, possibly kills someone, is “cleared” of charges and is welcomed back with open arms.

Is it a minor league option or an option year that was eliminated. I’m pretty sure Fausto (errr Roberto) is out of options and Heyman was referring to a club option year, probably 2014. Thanks.
