So you acknowledge that you don’t know anything more (and probably less) than the MLBPA folks that investigated this. My guess is that MLBPA did more than a Google search.

I didn’t believe him when he said it. If there’s anyone out there that is under the scruntiny of PED’s, it’s Bautista. What better way to get the spotlight off yourself than to claim you’re being tested more than anyone else- and with the confidentiality involved, there’s no way to disprove what he says. I can’t blame him for doing it- whether he’s guilty or not….saying that will get you the same result.

Jose bautista articles leading up to this one is the information i am privy to. Go to search feature here type in bautista look through the articles, takes less time to do than making a snide comment about information people are “privy to”.

I get that we should all be accurate and intelligent on here, but defending myself gets exhausting.

It’s not hearsay when it comes direct from the source, in this case, Jose himself. At least learn correct context if you are going to turn a phrase.

Or he could have been unusually lucky in avoiding random tests before he started to hit a bunch of HR and the increase he’s seen is just reversion to the mean.

If we don’t have confirmed amounts of testing before and after his power surge, this is all hearsay on Jose’s part. Until then, we have to take the MLBPA’s word for it.

…or maybe they increased testing during that time, and lots of players took more tests. It’s possible that both the mlbpa statement and bautista’s memory of how often he tested are correct. Bautista doesn’t have to be wrong or exaggerating, just mistaken about the reason.

No evidence? How many tests did he take prior to a few years ago? How many did he take since he started hitting more home runs? Thats all you need to know. Hr total and test total increased at the same time, that is evidence. I mean honestly what do they expect a memo with his picture and a target with a syringe filled with mvpee on it for evidence? I understand they wish to keep good relations but blatant denial of facts such as this is the same as telling an obvious lie and expecting the people to whom you are telling it to be dumb enough to believe it. Very insulting to the fans and anyone else they expect to mollify with that type of statement. ( i know mvpee is a braun thing but i had to work that in there somehow)
