I think the Freddi hot seat stories are wishful thinking of the Atlanta media….their corporate ownership won’t be firing anyone they still have to pay for 2 years unless they think the cost of keeping him (declining attendance, etc.) outweighs the cost of firing him.

PL, it’s funny you say that (which I agree with) meanwhile Fast Freddi stories about how he’s in the hot seat in Atlanta because they can’t win in spring training abound.

It’shard to think of anything more of a waste than a great pitching performance in Spring Training. I assume, as others indicate above, that he is fine tuning his pitches. We’ll worry when he does that stuff in April.

And yes, I’m with the group that wants to see great players be great.

Same thing as last season. If I remember correctly the Phills said we wouldn’t be seeing Utley until late in Spring training. That would lead to us seeing him for the first time very soon imo. If he isn’t playing in a week then I may start worrying.

This happened last year in Spring Training too. He tries new stuff in ST. Gets a feel for some things and works on some old things. Once the season starts, its lights out for him though.
