If you bring your little girl to the game, here is how it will go:

1. Go early to see the Hello Kitty.
2. Get the bobblehead.
3. Get her some popcorn.
4. Tell the guy behind you to watch his mouth in front of your daughter.
5. Get her some cotton candy
6. She’s bored. Leave the game with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the third inning. Two minutes before the grand slam.
7. Wonder what you were thinking of.

Wow. What is this all about?

I guess it’s a ploy to get young girls invested in the team now that most actual baseball fans have given up on the Dodgers?

Hey I’m 3,000 miles away from Los Angeles so I won’t be there.

But my four year old daughter would have the time of her life if I took her to a ballgame and Hello Kitty threw out the first pitch, made an appearance in the parking lot, and we got a couple of bobbleheads to take home. I’d even suffer through a Dodgers game for her.

I remember when Bat Day and Ball Day were the big promos in LA. Of course, the Dodgers also had real ownership and great teams. Oh well, at least they still have Vin Scully.
