Once a great story, Willis is done as a starter and likely as a reliever too. Colorado is not the house of horrors to all pitchers that it used to be but it’s still a difficult assignment and Willis lacks the physical resources and likely mental ones (lack of confidence anymore) to succeed.

Maybe the Rockies sign him but I’d doubt it. It would be a move destined to fail.

Still not easy though and some times teams like colorado have to get creative and take chances to get their pitchers. Dontrell may even get his career back on track like george sherrill has. Colorado will be a challenge though for any pitcher much less one trying to regain his past success.
