This is amazing. I recently had to do a research project on Andrew “Rube” Foster (Im a high school junior) and I found this already amazingly awesome site even more helpful. I couldn’t find consistent Negro League stats anywhere except here. Props to the hard working people over at baseballreference.com

Craig’s excerpt mentions the 1920 – 1948 data from Laster’s group. The news is even better. In addition, BR.com also has NeL data from 1904-1919 collected by Gary Ashwill and another group of researchers. Basically, BR.com and Seamheads.com now have the entire history of the organized NeL.

Nice. When I was a kid my mom got me a baseball book that covered almost everything in baseball. I had no idea about the negro leagues back then and I remember the stats were all guess stats. Kind of cool that someone got it figured a little bit better. Some great players back then that don’t or didn’t get the recognition they should have gotten.
