No need to resign Kinsler.
By 2014 at the latest, the Ranger middle infield will be Elvis Andrus and Jurickson Profar.

He’s under team control until he is 31. Do the Rangers even WANT to extend him now? I wouldn’t.

First, no, he won’t be in a different uniform, he’s already under contract for the relative bargain of $10M (nice job of reading past the headline).

Second, it is really stupid to sign a player you have under contract for two more years and through his age 31 season to an extension. A lot can happen to a player that age, especially a MIF, over 2 years. Any extension right now will most assuredly be an overpay.

they spent all of their money on pitching…..next year Ian will be in a diffenent uniform.
