Watched part of Gamera v. Gyaos over the weekend on Netflix. My 12-year-old daughter thought I was out of my skull for not only watching, but thinking it hysterically funny (Sandy Frank dubbing rules!).

Los Angelinos with graying hair may remember the rotating huge Bullwinkle statue in front of Jay Ward Productions on Sunset, which stopped rotating because years of Hell’s Angels pissing on its pedestal eventually corroded the gears.

If it was a decent piece of artwork, I think I’d overlook the tax thing. But it is simply, utterly, beyond all hope, hideous. Unlike Craig, I think we’ll look back on this waste of tax money and space and know, for a fact, that being feckless is no barrier to being rich and there is nothing so grotesque that some rich guy wouldn’t spend someone else’s money on it.
