These are among the many terms used in the offseason in baseball by uncompetitive teams who have to sign guys from the bottom of the barrel yet try to convince their skeptical fanbase that they are really trying to compete (when we know they can&#039;t or just won&#039;t). I feel for the fanbases of teams like the Royals or Pirates.]]></description>
