Andy Pettitte could pitch tomorrow

Andy Pettitte has only pitched in simulated games thus far, but he may actually get to face some live hitters tomorrow. Those live hitters would be the Mets in the Yankees final spring training game.

It’s been a slow ramp-up and de-rust-i-fication process for Pettitte. But one figures that if he wasn’t ready, Yankees coaches and trainers at the moment that they wouldn’t let him face live batters and risk him looking bad.

No need to rush Andy along when he’s ready he’s ready. Gotta say though it’s nice to have him waiting in the wings, now.

As a Yankees fan I kind of anxious to see who Girardi picks to fill out the final 2 spots on the roster to start the season. My best guess is it’s: D.J. Mitchell and Rapada. But we’ll see.

Wouldn’t want to rush him either, uyf, but it is the Mets. If he gives them a plunk single, Mr. Fiddley-Fart can always throw the runner out at first.

A foretaste of the Subway Series – which we are not likely to see again in my lifetime. They’ll build that bridge across Long Island Sound before the Mutts contend again.
