You are seriously delusional if you believe this… That may have been true when they first came up, but just look at the last few seasons and you’ll see that Kinsler is the superior defender. Since 2008 Kinsler has put up 20.8 fWAR and Cano 16.6, that 4 point advantage is attributed to Ian’s defense and base running ability. Kinsler is also way more selective at the plate, he walked more than he K’ed last year while Cano struck out two and a half times for every walk he took.

I do agree however that Cano will get a bigger contract, but that will have more to do with the team that will be signing him and the fact that his signing will likely come a year after Kinsler’s. Cano will probably get between 15m and 17m AAV.
