Why do you people care about Cincinnati’s attendance? Have you seen Tampa Bay’s attendance? They seem to be doing just fine. I am so sick of hearing about attendance! God people, get a life already, especially if you aren’t even a Reds’ fan. Go boast about “your” spectacular, incredible, holier-than-thou attendance somewhere else. Because you know, that’s all that matters in sports, right? Talk about beating a dead horse…

I would be willing to bet that 28K average is going to creep down farther as the season progresses. The last time Cinci averaged 28K or more was 2004.

They are averaging over 28k. They don’t typical draw well on a cold early April weekday series. 28K puts them well over most team’s seasonal average. We’re talking about 5 games out of 81. We’re not even a full week into the season. Also all those teams with 1 game are home openers. Those should ALL be sell outs. So unless they have 10k seating maximum then of course they are gonna rank higher than other teams.

Well, Cinci fans do tend to bitch about spending and do seem to be pinning their hopes on a big TV deal that won’t start for at least 4 years. Maybe they should shut up and buy some tickets, which are the cheapest tickets in the entire league. Right now Cinci is ranked 18th in attendance among the 21 teams that have hosted at least 1 game.

Are Reds fans showing their dedication by all watching on TV, hoping that the ratings from this year affect the new deal in 2016?

Considering last year at this time the attendance was hovering around 10K I think its ok. The crowds will continue to increase.
