People are funny when it comes to sports. We demand quality with other things we pay good money for but with sports there is this dilusion that we should fill the pockets of multi-millionaire’s pockets even when they consistently fail to put a quality product out on the field. And what do we call this? “Loyalty”. It’s laughable. Don’t get me wrong. If you have a franchise that you know is doing it’s best and the fans are coming out, you shouldn’t just abandon them if they have some setbacks that cause a losing season here and there. There’s also nothing wrong with going to a bad teams games just because you love going to the game. But to act like a whole fan base is somehow disloyal or frontrunners because they stop coming when a franchise consistently puts a bad product on the field is rediculous.

I think more of that picture had to do with that game was during mid day on a week day, while their is still school. Shelley Duncan has no business being out there. As far as your owner being cheap, just be grateful he’s not pissing money away on guys like Soriano or Adam Dunn. ( I’m from Chicago, went to school in Cleveland). You just resigned Asdrubal Cabrera and Carlos Santana, who I think are at the cusp of being absolute studs. Last year the Indians were the best team in the Central until the all star break. I think they made a mistake with Ubaldo but hindsight is always 20/20. I do have to say taking 90 west just before you make that left turn to go under the bridge…..Its an awesome view to see Progressive right next to the rock and roll hall of fame with lake erie in the background

Small market teams all over the country are spending SOME money on players, be that Detroit, Cincinatti, or Milwaukee just to name a few. They are fielding competitive teams and their attendance shows that accordingly. I am an Indians fan and it’s hard for me to name 5 players on my own team (not true just trying to prove a point). I mean, Shelley Duncan is our left fielder?!?!?! Are you FISTING ME?!??!?!?!
