No prob spud.

a bit more info today, Puma expected back tomorrow night w/Freese still in limbo.

Beltran's getting treatment on forearm and should be good to go tomorrow night.

Some additional info from Joe Strauss and Jeff Gordon respectively:

They're not happy with Shelby Miller's regression through spring and tough start at AAA Memphis, consider him "too confident' and aren't adverse to a little tough love with him. Sanchez is "nowhere" near a recall, no command and trying to smooth out delivery.

Organization's loving the young hitters - Adams, Wong and Tavares all crushing so far.

No one has been as critical of Schumaker than yours truly, but that said he does offer some versatility. No power, no speed, and marginally effective at 2B defensively. His outfield defense is, however quite good, with a powerful throwing arm.

Descalso should probably be the favorite, with Greene getting some playing time vs lefties. Descalso and Greene are polar opposites. Descalso is smart, clutch, with a great throwing arm, fearless, and able to play all three infield positions. Greene is very talented, often a bonehead, timid at times, very fast, some power, and relegated to 2B, as his arm which is average at best, and an inability to come in on balls well, is troublesome at SS.

Can Craig play 2B? Perhaps some, but with the knee injury, and his inability to turn the DP, particularly vulnerable to take-out slides, later rather than sooner is the better option.

Robinson is the odd man out now, but who goes when Craig is ready in a week? With Greene out of options it looks like the Cards will have to deal Greene, perhaps with a reliever, maybe Boggs or McClellan. Schumaker is signed through next year at only 1.5 per, but would not bring much in return.

Komatsu could be returned to Washington, keeping Greene, but if so why have they farted around with him so long? They cannot trade him nor receive any compensation, except the $25 Grand return fee.

And if they did choose to move Greene and a reliever who could they get and what do they need? There are proven replacements for Greene and Boggs/McClellan; Sanchez is still a viable although he hasn't exactly sparkled since his demotion, and Lynn would be exiled to the pen if Carpenter can regain form soon. Maybe a SS/2B and a backup lefty catcher would be prudent, but Cruz is not a liability, has versatility and Kolten Wong is rocking in Springfield and defensive standout Ryan Jackson, could do in a pinch if Furcal is sidelined for short period. Even Eugenio Velez, who has big league experience, is insurance and currently is hitting very well.

If I had to bet I guess it is stand pat, with Robinson back to AAA, and Komatsu back to Washington, but if so, would some explain to me why the Cards have been showcasing him when they cannot get anything in return and his playing time is only blocking someone else from valuable playing time? It isn't like the organization hasn't known this was on the horizon for some time.

Not much on Beltran after the game, some hints of him being pulled for "precautionary" reasons but that's about it.

From what was said postgame, both Puma and Freese could play Tuesday with Puma more likely - I'm spooked about Freese's finger as well.

Robinson seems to be the odd man out when Skip returns. With Puma and Freese getting days off here and there, Carpenter will get playing tme at 1st and 3rd, not sure if he'll get any activity over Skip in CF. Their leash with Greene seems to be getting shorter by the day, out of options though unfortunately. I suspect Descalso will end up being the everday 2B sooner than later.

They're going to have to do something with Komatsu when Craig returns, he's still probably 2/3 weeks away though.

Skip's obviously an organizational security blanket, they love the guy for whatever reason.

Did they say anything about Beltran? I figured they took him out to rest him a little and to get Komatsu some time since it was a big lead late.

Berkman seems like he'll be back soon. The comments on Freese's finger are worrisome....Craig should be close to returning as well. In any case, if they get to the point where they "need" Skip, they are in big trouble. Carpenter and Komatsu should play in front of him in the OF and Descalso, and Greene should all play in front of him in the IF.
