I guess I just have to prop my feet up on the sleeping dog, pour a protein smoothie and fill the bowl with hot buttered groat clusters and make a solid commitment to the idiot box. I was originally planning to head down to the pond and watch the giant toads fool around – it’s the season – but hey, unless the same parasite that’s wiping out the bees finds a way to breathe underwater, the toads will be back on Sunday night too.
