Wrapping up the Fenway at 100 party

Apr 20, 2012, 7:08 PM EDT

If you still haven’t had quite enough — and some of those Clay Buchholz changeups were awfully tasty — here are a few more Fenway features for you:

First, the recap of the celebration.

Next, a slideshow of pics from the festivities. Because Kevin Millar’s frosted tips never get old.

And here’s’s slideshow of Fenway Park through the years.

Also, the Red Sox did make it official: the pregame 35,000-plus person toast led by Millar and Pedro Martinez will make it into the Guinness Book of World Records. Unfortunately, the subsequent 30,000-plus person “We want Tito” chant that took place in the ninth isn’t expected to be recognized.

You really think there were 30,000 still there in the ninth?

The players coming out to the Jurassic Park theme song was a big WTF until they announced John Williams was there. Still funny though.

I’m glad the Beantowners had a nice day. I’m even more glad their Saawwx lost.

This is too great. Every team should do this.

The Yankees have an annual Old Timers’ Day that’s pretty great too.

And I’d love to see a list of attendees and some photos from that, too.

really who cares?? place is a total dump, the fans are retarted normally and you cant have a decent conversation with them.they have a history of losing a LOT, i have more respect for the bluegays!!!

Here’s a tip, pal: if want to baselessly and viciously smear an entire group of people, one thing you should NOT do is misspell the word “retarDed.”

I mean, how easy are you going to make this? You’re beyond parody at this point.

“you cant have a decent conversation with them” – says HBT’s serial troll. Considering that he can’t spell (re-tar-ded, ‘harry. NOT “retarted”. I’m amazed you can’t spell that word: you must see it a lot on your rap sheet), punctuate, or frame a thought coherently, he’s actually bashing others for low intelligence. In the history of ironical statements ‘harry’s wins for most ironical of the decade. Take the rest of the decade off, ‘harry, and enjoy the honor. No. Really. Take off. Please.

As a diehard Yankee fan I found myself getting goose bumps while watching that ceremony. It was well done and I tip my hat to the Red Sox organization for the way they handled that event.
