While that is a valid point everyone knew he was pitching out of his ass during that stretch. What he was doing was not indicative of what he can capably sustain throughout a season. While it may have been odd to see him moved it would have been the right call last year to sell when there was no way his stock could be higher.

OK, well the corresponding move is RP Cory Gearrin which is likely just depth until Hudson comes up for Sunday.

Now I’m really intrigued to know whats happening with Teheran!

I have zero inside info on this, but looking at the way the Braves rotation is lining up for the next 7 days, I think the ‘corresponding move’ could be Julio Teheran.

Teheran last pitched one week ago tonight. Gwinnett Braves rotation is set for the next 3 days . . . and Teheran’s next Start has yet to be announced.

Hudson goes tonight, which would line him up perfectly for a Sunday match-up likely to be Eric Bedard (on 6-days due to rain out and Thursday Off-day and if they don’t skip someone).

With an Off-day on Thursday, Hanson’s next Start will be on Friday on 5-days rest.

That leaves Saturday Start – possibly against Burnett – up in the air. It could certainly go to Delgado but it remains at least intriguing that nothing has yet been announced about Teheran’s next Start.

It is much easier, in hindsight, so sit back and say they should have traded him high. He was the second best pitcher in the NL and the Braves were heading towards a potential division championship at that point. Who trades in that scenario? Not many.

Sending him down is best at this point, let him try and work it out in AAA. The potential is there. The potential trades aren’t anymore, but the Braves are loaded with pitching prospects.

Good point. The Braves should have dealt him when he had value. On the other hand the guy speaks 4 languages so if this baseball thing doesn’t work out I see a bright future for him in telemarketing.

I always considered him fool’s gold.
But Braves couldn’t accept this truth and considered him an ace just because he had a sub 3.00 ERA
