Well, the good thing about all this is that Crawford is pretty much irrelevant to the Red Sox success at the moment. The offense isn’t exactly in any trouble at the moment, only put up what, 44 runs in the past 5 games, and given up 19?

No, the offense is fine right now and Crawford can take his time getting back. The real concern for the Red Sox is the pitching staff. I’d love to see them keep this up, but the reality is, I’m just waiting for the next playoff caliber team to curb stomp them. Oh well, maybe after this season the RS front office will actually try to blow up the bullpen. It’s ludicrous to be spending this kind of money on guys who can’t consistently get it done.

Everyone makes mistakes.

Based on Crawford’s career up to the point he signed with the Red Sox it was IMPOSSIBLE to have foreseen the extent of issues he has had since.

Certainly it would have been awesome to have seen this as the Yankees problem instead . . .

But, ya know, hindsight is 20/20.
