If you are already batting them 1-2, does it really matter which one is lead-off? Seems like it would have zero impact on the outcome of a game.

Well, the Marlins can still right the ship. They just need to build a new park, hire a new manager, vastly overpay a closer, and commit $100 million to a leadoff guy that gets hurts a lot. Oh, wait....

Reyes has indeed been a catalyst - when you consider that a catalyst remains inert in the reaction it's supposed to facilitate. What particular reaction our slobbering Parcelsus was looking to initiate by using Reyes as a catalyst instead of just breaking the tips off all the trainer's rectal thermometers and collecting a sufficient amount of mercury - or maybe buying some swordfish fllets at Winn Dixie and squeezing it out of those, which could avoid some painful accidents if the trainer happened not to notice that his thermometer had been compromised - is not especially clear. But this, I guess, is what they mean when they talk about clubhouse chemistry, isn't it?
