Hear hear! I'm so tired of the lazy narrative that Harper is some evil arrogant pr*ck. He got booed during his debut at-bat! If "hustle" and "talent" translates to "arrogant" and "entitled" by sportswriters who never bother to interview or see the kid play himself, then (as a Nats fan) I'll take it 7 days a week and twice sunday. You want to denigrate the kid? Fine; be fair to him and go interview him. Don't just regurgitate what other uninformed writers day.

It's going to be fun when 19-year-old Bryce Harper faces 49-year-old Jamie Moyer for the first time. Until Harper catches Moyer's 43 MPH fastball and tosses it back to him. Then it's gonna get awkward.

During a game this weekend, Vin Scully's said on his broadcast that when Bryce was 12 he was in a baseball tournament. He was playing on a field with fences 290 feet away (reminder, he's 12 and playing with older kids). So Harper goes 12 for 12, with 11 homeruns. It's amazing how this kid has survived/thrived under microscopic scrutiny for his entire life.
