I’ve been watching baseball for 35 years. I’ve never seen anyone get down the line as fast as Trout did last night. He was 3 full strides past the bag before the throw got there. Fastest I’ve ever seen.

I remember seeing Jacoby Ellsbury hit a routine ground ball to short for the first time–the shortstop handled it routinely, threw to first, and Ellsbury was safe. I was completely dumbstruck. If Trout’s faster that than, holy crap.
