Ryan Braun followed up his monster three-homer game Monday by swiping his 100th career base Tuesday, but in doing so he injured his Achilles’ tendon.

Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports that there was some thought given to having Braun sit out last night to rest the injury, but instead he started the game and then had to leave after limping off the field in the sixth inning.

After the game Braun told McCalvy that the injury isn’t serious and he can rest up today because the Brewers aren’t playing, but his sore Achilles’ tendon adds to a rough week for the Brewers that has already included season-ending surgery for Chris Narveson and what is likely a season-ending knee injury for Mat Gamel.

Yeah, who cares if all those studies on the effects of HGH on speeding recovery of healthy young adults say it has no measurable affect…can’t let ignorance get in the way of inanity.

Well, first off, it was funny. Secondly, what studies are you talking about?

Let me imitate some future Braun Bashing. (I’ve read quite a bit here, and I want to make sure I’ve got it down.)

    *clears throat*

“Hey, maybe his upper foot is feeling withdrawals from all those STEROIDS.”
“Braun never took a day off while he was on STEROIDS.”
    “Obviously a case of STEROIDS.”
    “Cheater.”

Next on my list, learning to love the DH and stop worrying.

And, really, if I need to tag it….

    /sarcasm

“After the game Braun told McCalvy that the injury isn’t serious and he can rest up today because the Brewers aren’t playing”

By rest, he means a few measures of stanzolol.

    Testosterol. That’ll help. Right, Bud?

    He peed in cup….

    THREE CUPS…

    The seals were not broken…

(EVEN IF THE SEALS WERE BROKE, ALL THREE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED)

It WAS found to be a high spiked level of cheating….. Roids, HGH, whatever it was…. IT WAS.

SO… moving on to last night….. bummer he hurt himself.

You know what they say about the stress put on tendons and ligaments from extra muscle. Let’s not even get onto his testes which are probably ovaries now.

“get onto his testes which are probably ovaries now.”
