The Phillies traded Taylor to the Jays along with Drabek and d’Arnaud in the Halladay trade. The Jays then sent him to Oakland for Brett Wallace. Wallace was then traded to Houston for Anthony Gose after Houston had picked up Gose in a trade from Philadelphia. Going into the season, Drabek was in the Toronto rotation and d’Arnaud and Gose were ranked as their top 2 prospects.

I hope that Taylor is a success in Oakland.

Even the hardcore A’s fans on AN Nation are not excited by this, though the pre-season talk on Taylor was split between “play him and see what he can do” and “He’s 26 and hasn’t had a whiff of the majors-he looks so uncomfortable in left.”

With Coco-a healthy Coco-you know what you are going to get these days. Not much.

With Taylor you don’t know. Might as well find out. Let’s face it: where are the A’s going anyway?
